Touch Monitor Takes Its Magic Anywhere

MimoMonitor MagicTouch USB Monitor
You can now get a capacitive touch monitor with all the convenience of a USB device thanks to MimiMonitors and its new MagicTouch 10-inch displays. The new monitors can function as both peripheral displays and as touchscreen inputs, with potential uses in the home, on the sales floor, or in industry.
Two models of the 10-inch MagicTouch monitors are available for order, the standard Mimo MagicTouch and the MagicTouch Deluxe. Both are USB monitors with 10-inch capacitive touch screens, and can be used as a secondary display in the home or as point-of-sale input and entry devices in a retail environment. These touch controls are available only with Windows 7, but can be used for a variety of applications, from home media center controls to industrial automation.
The standard Mimo MagicTouch offers an external monitor with USB connectivity, with a 10.1-inch screen and 1024-by-600 resolution. The monitor weighs under one pound and measures less than 1-inch thick. When used with Windows 7, it also offers capacitive touch capability, but can be used as a monitor only with Mac OS and older versions of Windows (XP/Vista/2000). The MagicTouch monitor comes with a sturdy adjustable dock, but can also be mounted without the base. The standard MagicTouch is available now for pre-order, with a price of $299.99 and comes with a USB cable and dock.
The MagicTouch Deluxe offers the same 10.1-inch, 1024-by-600 resolution display, but offers two USB 2.0 ports, and the accompanying adjustable dock also serves as a USB hub, with two USB ports and an optional AC adapter to power USB devices or charge devices through the USB port. Like the standard MagicTouch, the MagicTouch Deluxe comes with a USB cable and an adjustable dock, and is available for $329.99 through MimoMonitors.
